We’re all a bit wiser now! Thanks to Peggy Thompson and Jody and Henry Smith for the refreshments, and to Beth Dickinson and the Vinings United Methodist Church for allowing us to again share their facilities.

The Vinings Village Civic Club has a tradition of aiding our Community. The newest project is to help the Vinings Library to add a Young Adult Section; a population that the Library felt was underserved. The money raised through advertisements in the Directory help to fund these projects. When you receive your Directory, check out the advertisers and thank them for supporting our community, and thanks to all of you, the over 200 members, who help make our project successful as well.

The Vinings Rotary is collecting old cellphones for their Kilifi Kids project in Kenya, and also coats for Trinity House and the Women’s Mission. Clean out your surplus, and support a good cause. Contact Debby Bolt at 770-436-7478 to donate.

Vinings extends its sympathy to the family of Keith Lutz, who passed away recently. Keith and Suzan had been active volunteers and supporters of the Vinings Village Civic Club for a many years and he will be missed.
